George Newton (born 5 April 1957 in Sedgefield, England) is an actor. He stars as Banjo in This Is England, This Is England '86, and This Is England '88.
Biography[]
Newton began his acting career with a role in Shane Meadows' film Dead Man's Shoes in 2004. He was cast by Meadows again in 2006 as Banjo in This Is England.
He appeared as a music studio owner in the 2007 film Control.
He has also appeared in My Dangerous Loverboy, Bunny and the Bull, Pelican Blood, Jane's Life and Inbred.
He returned as Banjo for This Is England, This Is England '86, and This Is England '88.
